Job Description

Are you passionate about working with children and looking to start a rewarding career in early years education? Busy Bees Nurseries in Derby is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Nursery Assistants. No prior experience is required, as we believe in nurturing talent and providing comprehensive training to help you thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, has a genuine love for children, and wants to contribute to a stimulating and safe environment where children can learn and grow. Full training, including support for relevant qualifications, will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified nursery staff in the day-to-day care and education of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support children's learning and development through play-based activities, storytelling, and creative tasks.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment within the nursery.
  • Observe and contribute to children's individual progress records under supervision.
  • Assist with meal times, nappy changing, and toileting routines.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required to enhance professional development.
