Job Description

No prior experience operating a bus is required – we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills. We provide comprehensive paid training to help you obtain your Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) licence and become a professional bus operator. Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all required training modules and practical driving instruction.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws during training and eventual operation.
- Learn and master the safe operation of various types of buses.
- Develop excellent customer service skills to interact positively with passengers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Operate a bus safely and efficiently along designated routes once licensed.
- Collect fares and issue transfers accurately.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including wheelchair securement.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license (non-CDL OK to start).
- Clean driving record for the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- Familiarity with the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
- Mechanical aptitude or basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
