Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Care Assistant to join our team in Grand Forks. This unique opportunity offers a premium hourly rate for working in a quiet, serene environment, providing essential support to our residents during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility during night hours.
- Monitor residents' health status, noting and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help residents with ambulation and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Respond promptly to resident calls and requests, providing compassionate and timely assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Document care provided and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents as needed.
- Ensure residents have a peaceful and uninterrupted night's rest.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Genuine compassion and empathy for others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare setting.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working night shifts.
