Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Helicopter Pilots to join our dedicated team for offshore transport and critical search and rescue (SAR) operations based out of Atlantic City, New Jersey. This challenging and rewarding role involves flying state-of-the-art helicopters in demanding marine environments, ensuring the safe transport of personnel to offshore platforms and responding to emergency situations. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional aviation skills, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a commitment to teamwork. A comprehensive relocation package will be provided for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and post-flight duties in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Safely and efficiently operate helicopters for offshore transport of personnel and cargo to and from various platforms and vessels.
  • Execute complex search and rescue missions, including hoist operations, in diverse weather conditions and challenging maritime environments.
  • Maintain accurate flight logs, operational records, and other required documentation.
  • Adhere to all FAA regulations, company policies, and safety management system procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with ground crew, co-pilots, and SAR team members to ensure mission success.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain proficiency and currency.
  • Conduct equipment checks and minor maintenance tasks as required.
  • Respond professionally and calmly to emergency situations.
  • Represent Bristow Group with the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

Required Skills

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot certificate with Helicopter and Instrument Ratings.
  • Minimum of 2,000 total helicopter flight hours.
  • Minimum of 1,000 PIC (Pilot in Command) helicopter flight hours.
  • Minimum of 500 hours offshore or SAR experience.
  • Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Proficient in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations.
  • Excellent decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with hoist operations in a SAR environment.
  • Type rating in S-92, AW139, or similar heavy/medium lift aircraft.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation or a related field.
  • Advanced first aid or medical training.
  • Experience operating in challenging weather conditions.
  • Military aviation experience.
