Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all phases of paid training to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and Airbrake endorsements.
- Learn and adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Safely operate various types of transit buses on scheduled routes, picking up and dropping off passengers at designated stops.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with questions, directions, and accessibility needs.
- Collect fares and issue transfers accurately.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of buses and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members.
- Respond to emergency situations according to established protocols.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record for the last three years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to strict operational guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to operate a large vehicle and assist passengers as needed.
- No prior bus driving experience is required – we provide all necessary training!
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with the San Antonio metropolitan area.
