Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Elevator / Escalator Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking for sponsorship to work in the UK. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various elevator and escalator systems, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing of elevators and escalators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Execute repairs and replacements of components as necessary, adhering to safety standards and codes.
- Respond to emergency service calls and breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct comprehensive safety checks and ensure compliance with all industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with building managers and occupants.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with new technologies and procedures.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Elevator or Escalator Mechanic.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in complex machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Lift & Escalator Engineering).
- Experience with KONE equipment and systems.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing field service role.
- Familiarity with UK safety regulations and codes relevant to lifts and escalators.
