Job Description

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a compassionate and resilient individual to join our team in Chippenham as a Trainee Crime Scene / Trauma Cleanup Technician. No prior experience is required as full, comprehensive training will be provided. This specialized role involves responding to sensitive situations, performing meticulous cleanup and decontamination of sites affected by traumatic events, and restoring environments to a safe and habitable condition. You will be part of a critical team, offering support and professionalism during difficult times. This position offers a specialized high pay due to the nature and importance of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and respond to call-outs for crime scene, trauma, unattended death, and biohazard cleanup.
- Safely and meticulously clean, disinfect, and decontaminate affected areas in accordance with strict health and safety protocols.
- Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and contaminated materials.
- Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and tools.
- Document all work performed, including photographic evidence and incident reports.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and show empathy and respect to clients during sensitive situations.
- Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Required Skills

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation (required for response).
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a role requiring attention to detail or adherence to strict protocols (e.g., healthcare, military, emergency services).
