Job Description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic React Developer to join our dynamic technology team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge web applications that provide exceptional user experiences for our diverse client base. You will work within an agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy responsive user-facing features using React.js.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide array of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, ensuring seamless application functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, applying them to improve development processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong understanding of React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of other front-end frameworks like Angular or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with Jest, React Testing Library, or other testing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and design.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
