Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced roofers who are looking for stable employment with a reputable company. As a Roofing Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems on both residential and commercial properties. We offer Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) for eligible international candidates, demonstrating our commitment to attracting the best talent globally. Full compliance with safety regulations and maintaining high standards of workmanship are paramount in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems, including pitched and flat roofs.
- Work with different materials such as tiles, slates, felt, lead, and single-ply membranes.
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofs to identify and diagnose issues, providing accurate assessments.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, adhering to building codes and regulations.
- Measure and cut materials to specification, ensuring minimal waste.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, site managers, and other trades.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor on job sites.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Roofing Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength for demanding work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to health and safety best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Roofing Occupations.
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience with specialised roofing systems (e.g., green roofs, solar panel integration).
