Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Commercial Kitchen Deep Cleaner to join our night shift team at Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown. This vital role ensures that our high-volume commercial kitchens meet the strictest health and safety standards through thorough deep cleaning. Working during the quiet hours, you will be responsible for systematically cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen areas, equipment, and surfaces, contributing directly to a safe and pristine culinary environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive deep cleaning of all kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, stoves, and exhaust hoods, ensuring removal of grease and food residue.
- Scrub and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, and all food preparation surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect sinks, drains, and dishwashing areas.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of walk-in refrigerators and freezers, including shelving and floors.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, pressure washers, and industrial vacuums.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards discovered during cleaning.
- Assist with inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of restocking needs.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn and operate various cleaning equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, preferably in a commercial kitchen or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning products and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles or similar food safety guidelines.
