Job Description

Are you observant, detail-oriented, and passionate about exceptional customer service? Cambridge Customer Insights Group is seeking a perceptive Mystery Guest to join our growing team. In this unique role, you will anonymously evaluate the quality of service, products, and overall customer experience at various client establishments across Cambridge and surrounding areas. Your insightful feedback will directly contribute to helping businesses enhance their offerings and delight their customers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys experiencing different services and providing constructive input in a flexible, part-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit assigned businesses (e.g., restaurants, shops, hotels) as a regular customer, without revealing your identity.
  • Objectively assess customer service, product quality, cleanliness, staff professionalism, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Complete detailed reports and questionnaires accurately and promptly after each visit.
  • Provide constructive, unbiased feedback based on specific evaluation criteria.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding assignments and findings.
  • Adhere to project guidelines and deadlines for each mystery shop.

Required Skills

  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
  • Ability to act discreetly and maintain anonymity during visits.
  • Reliability and punctuality in completing assignments and reports.
  • Access to reliable transportation to reach various locations within Cambridge and nearby areas.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for report submission.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail.
  • Familiarity with market research or quality assurance principles.
