Job Description

We are committed to investing in motivated individuals by covering the full cost of your HGV / CDL training and testing. You will learn everything from vehicle inspection and safety regulations to advanced driving techniques, all while being supported by experienced professionals. Upon successful completion of your training and licensing, you will transition into a full-time driving role within our esteemed fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in and complete all required HGV / CDL training modules and practical sessions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during training and subsequent driving duties.
- Learn and practice pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Develop proficiency in operating heavy goods vehicles under various road and weather conditions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional development throughout the training program.
- Understand and apply hours-of-service regulations and other industry compliance requirements.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude.
- Work collaboratively with trainers and team members.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to completing a rigorous training program.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance checks.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job (lifting, bending, sitting for extended periods).
- No prior HGV / CDL experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with local road networks in British Columbia.
