Job Description
We are actively seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Store Associate / General Helper in Lethbridge, Alberta. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in retail, as no prior experience is necessary. As a General Helper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining store operations, ensuring a clean and organized environment, and assisting customers with their shopping needs. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers and provide friendly assistance, helping them locate products and answer inquiries.
- Efficiently restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure accurate pricing and signage across departments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor, checkout areas, fitting rooms, and backroom.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipments, accurately stocking inventory.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and handle customer transactions with accuracy and a smile, if assigned to front-end duties.
- Support fellow team members in various store areas to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for all.
Required Skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong willingness to learn new tasks and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- No prior retail experience is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., hospitality, food service) is an asset, but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Basic familiarity with inventory management or point-of-sale systems.
