Job Description

Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in event planning and management with a dynamic organization? PNNL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Planning & Management Intern to support our diverse portfolio of internal and external events. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of event coordination, from logistics to on-site execution. We welcome candidates with no prior professional experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. A key aspect of this role is included travel to various event locations, providing invaluable practical exposure and a chance to experience different environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of various events, including workshops, conferences, seminars, and outreach activities.
  • Support event logistics, such as venue setup, material preparation, and attendee registration.
  • Help manage vendor relationships, including catering, audio-visual, and transportation services.
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations and address any immediate needs.
  • Assist with post-event tasks, including feedback collection and reporting.
  • Research and identify potential venues, suppliers, and innovative event solutions.
  • Prepare event-related documents, presentations, and communication materials.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for event staff and participants as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of event budgets and expenses.
