Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mansfield. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for various energy-related projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure our solutions are innovative, efficient, and meet the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, components, and layouts for energy infrastructure projects.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to validate design integrity and performance.
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site and in laboratory environments.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to installation and maintenance.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for design processes and product performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in electrical engineering.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in electrical design or engineering roles.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) for electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards (e.g., BS, IEC), and safety regulations.
  • Experience with power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to perform complex electrical calculations and simulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly with renewables or power generation/transmission.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
  • Project management experience.
