Job Description
Are you a highly motivated and results-driven individual looking to build a career in the dynamic world of logistics from the comfort of your home? TFI International is seeking a dedicated Remote Freight Broker Agent to join our growing team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for connecting shippers with carriers, negotiating rates, and managing the transportation of goods across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and sales skills who thrives in an independent, performance-based environment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers (shippers) and carriers.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with both shippers and carriers.
- Source and book freight loads using our proprietary systems and industry tools.
- Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates to customers.
- Proactively identify and resolve any transportation issues or delays.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and proof of delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales and booking targets.
Required Skills
- Proven strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a home office setting.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software).
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related client-facing role.
- Familiarity with the transportation or logistics industry is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong advantage for the Quebec market.
