Job Description
Join The Cumberland Gallery team as an Art Gallery Sales Assistant, specifically contributing to our weekend roster. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual passionate about art and sales. You will be instrumental in creating an inviting atmosphere, engaging with visitors, sharing insights about our diverse collection, and facilitating art sales. This role is commission-based, rewarding your ability to connect clients with pieces they love. If you are charismatic, knowledgeable, eager to learn, and available on weekends, we encourage you to apply. Full training on our artists, collections, and sales processes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and engage with all gallery visitors, providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Present and discuss artworks and artists with clients, sharing compelling narratives and details.
- Actively assist customers in the selection and acquisition of art, handling sales transactions efficiently.
- Maintain the pristine appearance of the gallery space, including lighting and display arrangements.
- Process sales, manage client information, and follow up on inquiries.
- Assist with gallery events and exhibition openings as required.
- Contribute to achieving gallery sales targets through proactive client engagement.
Required Skills
