Job Description

Are you passionate about coffee and customer service but have no prior experience? This is your chance to start a rewarding career with Costa Coffee in Cardiff! We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant to join our friendly team for daytime hours. No experience is necessary, as full comprehensive training will be provided. You will learn everything from mastering the art of coffee making to providing outstanding customer service, all while working in a vibrant and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive full training to prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks to Costa Coffee standards.
  • Learn to operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist customers with orders, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and maintain a clean till area.
  • Support with food preparation and serving, including sandwiches, pastries, and other snacks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the coffee shop, including seating areas, counters, and equipment.
  • Restock supplies and ensure all products are readily available for service.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a great customer experience.

Required Skills

  • No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
