Job Description
Join the Atlantic Environmental Research Group as a Meteorology & Climate Science Intern at our Moncton weather station. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of weather station equipment.
- Collect and record meteorological data, including temperature, humidity, wind speed/direction, and precipitation.
- Perform quality control checks on collected data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support data entry, organization, and preliminary analysis using specialized software.
- Participate in the calibration and troubleshooting of sensors and instruments.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations on weather and climate trends.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Meteorology, Climate Science, Environmental Science, or related degree program.
- Basic understanding of meteorological principles and climate processes.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an outdoor and lab environment.
- Excellent communication and observational skills.
