Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in a creative and practical field? Signs Express Bath is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sign Maker (Trainee) to join our busy team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in sign making. We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training covering all aspects of sign production, from graphic application and vinyl cutting to assembly and installation. You’ll learn to use state-of-the-art equipment and work with a variety of materials, gaining valuable skills that will set you up for success in the signage industry. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced sign makers with various stages of the sign production process.
- Learn to prepare surfaces, cut vinyl, and apply graphics accurately.
- Support the assembly of signs and displays, ensuring high quality standards.
- Help with the packing and preparation of signs for dispatch or installation.
- Participate in on-site installations, assisting with measurements and fitting.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently.
- Undertake training and development opportunities provided by the company.
- Learn to operate specialist sign-making equipment safely and efficiently.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- No prior experience in sign making is required; full training will be provided.
- A strong willingness to learn and develop new practical skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- A valid UK driving license is preferred due to potential site visits.
- Basic computer literacy, particularly with design software (training will be provided).
- Experience in any hands-on, craft, or creative hobbies is a plus.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
