Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team as a Secure Document Shredding Feeder. In this crucial entry-level role, you will be responsible for loading secure document bins and boxes onto a conveyor belt or directly into our industrial shredding machinery. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to strict security protocols, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, industrial environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the secure document management industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently dump boxes and bins of confidential documents into the shredding machine.
- Monitor the flow of materials into the shredder to ensure continuous operation.
- Adhere strictly to all company security policies and procedures regarding document handling and confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the shredding equipment.
- Assist with the general upkeep and basic maintenance of the shredding equipment as directed by supervisors.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions, security concerns, or irregularities to a supervisor immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and bins (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong work ethic and proven reliability.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing, or similar physical role is a plus, but not required.
