Job Description
Join Bartlett Tree Experts as a Sustainable Forestry Labourer for our seasonal tree planting initiatives in the Houston area. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about environmental conservation and outdoor work. You will be an integral part of our team, responsible for preparing sites, planting trees, and contributing to the establishment of new forested areas. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for those seeking to gain experience in forestry and horticulture, with a direct impact on local ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare planting sites, including clearing debris and loosening soil.
- Plant a variety of tree species according to established guidelines and specifications.
- Ensure proper spacing and depth for optimal growth and survival rates.
- Water newly planted trees and apply protective measures as needed.
- Assist with the maintenance of existing tree stock, including weeding and mulching.
- Operate basic hand tools and light equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily planting targets.
