Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Subsea / Marine Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to challenging projects in naval architecture, marine systems, and subsea technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform design, analysis, and simulation for subsea and marine systems, including structures, piping, and mechanical components.
  • Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, including stress analysis, hydrodynamic analysis, and buoyancy calculations.
  • Participate in sea trials, system testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and operational phases.
  • Identify and resolve engineering issues, proposing innovative and practical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in subsea or marine engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, OrcaFlex).
  • Strong understanding of marine systems, subsea equipment, and offshore operations.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyds Register).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or eligibility for registration in Canada.
  • Experience with naval defense projects or commercial marine vessels.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Previous experience working on international projects or with diverse teams.
