Job Description

Are you passionate about the environment and eager to gain hands-on experience in land and resource management? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Forestry & Timber Management Intern to join our team in a rural setting near Homestead, Florida. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in forestry, conservation, or agricultural land management. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will work closely with experienced professionals, learning the fundamentals of sustainable land use, vegetation management, and ecological monitoring. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in field data collection for vegetation surveys, land assessments, and resource inventories.
  • Learn and apply best practices in sustainable land management, including basic forestry and ecological principles.
  • Support the team in monitoring and maintaining designated land areas, including invasive species removal and native plant establishment.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of land stewardship projects.
  • Operate and maintain basic field equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Document findings and assist with report preparation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
