Job Description
Join Tesco Stores Ltd. as an Entry-Level Warehouse Worker on our night shifts. This full-time position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in logistics and warehousing, with no prior experience required. We offer comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. You will be an integral part of our St Helens distribution centre team, playing a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring our shelves are stocked for customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory efficiently and accurately.
- Pick and pack orders according to daily requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and pump trucks (training provided).
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work night shifts (typically 10 PM – 6 AM or similar).
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 20kg).
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physical role or fast-paced environment (not mandatory).
- Forklift truck license (desirable, but not required for entry-level).
