Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Addiction Counselor. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about public health and helping individuals overcome substance use challenges, even if you have no prior experience in counseling. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on training and supervision, equipping you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become an effective addiction counselor within a public health framework. This role focuses on learning foundational counseling techniques, understanding addiction science, and assisting in the delivery of support services to individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required training and educational programs.
- Shadow experienced addiction counselors and public health professionals.
- Learn to conduct initial screenings and assessments under direct supervision.
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops under guidance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
