Job Description
We are seeking a warm, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Bridal Boutique Fitting Assistant to join our team, specifically for weekend shifts. This crucial role supports our lead stylists and seamstresses during bridal fittings, ensuring every bride receives impeccable service and enjoys a seamless, joyful experience. You’ll assist with gown preparation, help brides with trying on dresses, maintain the fitting room’s pristine condition, and contribute to the overall magical atmosphere of our boutique.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist brides in and out of bridal gowns during scheduled fitting appointments.
- Organise and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of fitting rooms and the main showroom.
- Ensure all bridal gowns are handled with the utmost care to prevent damage.
- Provide a supportive and comforting presence for brides and their accompanying parties.
- Help prepare gowns for appointments, which may include steaming or minor adjustments as guided by stylists.
- Work collaboratively with the styling and alterations team to ensure a smooth and efficient fitting process.
- Support general boutique operations during peak times, including greeting clients and answering basic inquiries.
- Assist with inventory checks and gown rotation as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively and calmly in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and available to work all required weekend shifts.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move bridal gowns (up to 10kg).
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic computer literacy for appointment check-ins or client notes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service role, ideally within fashion or luxury goods.
- An interest in bridal fashion, textiles, or styling.
