Job Description
Join our essential team as a Refuse Collector / Bin Loader and play a vital role in keeping Miramar clean and green. This full-time position involves collecting solid waste and recyclables from residential and commercial properties. Enjoy the benefit of early finishes, allowing you more personal time after your shift. We value dedication, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Full training will be provided for candidates eager to learn and contribute to their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as part of a refuse collection crew, safely and efficiently collecting waste and recyclables.
- Load refuse and recyclable materials from bins and containers onto collection vehicles.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and complete collection services.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while on route and at the depot.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress or issues.
- Assist with routine vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance needs.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Valid Florida Driver's License (or ability to obtain one) preferred for potential future opportunities.
