Job Description

Regal Removals & Logistics is seeking a dedicated Furniture Delivery Porter (Mate) to join our growing team in Camden Town. You’ll be a vital part of our delivery operations, assisting our drivers with loading, transporting, and unloading a variety of furniture items, often requiring heavy lifting and careful handling. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver with navigating routes and making deliveries.
- Safely load, unload, and move furniture and other items, ensuring they are protected from damage.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of large and bulky items up and down stairs, through doorways, and into customer homes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during transit and on-site.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Assemble basic furniture items on-site as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and equipment.
- Handle paperwork and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
- Work effectively as part of a two-person team to complete daily delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting repeatedly and safely (up to 75 lbs / 34 kg).
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow instructions and work diligently.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including some weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., warehousing, construction, landscaping).
- Familiarity with London's road network and geography.
- Basic furniture assembly skills.
