Job Description
We are seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our dynamic teams on various infrastructure projects across the UK. This exceptional opportunity includes full sponsorship and relocation assistance for qualified international candidates. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be instrumental in operating a range of heavy machinery, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of construction tasks. You will work on significant projects, contributing to the development of critical infrastructure while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other construction machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation checks on equipment, maintaining logs and reporting any defects or necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to ensure precise execution of tasks according to project plans and specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, company policies, and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prolong lifespan and ensure operational readiness.
- Excavate, grade, and move earth, rock, and other materials with accuracy and control.
- Monitor ground conditions and adjust operations to ensure stability and safety.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and project instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for performing routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.
- Commitment to working safely and efficiently in a demanding environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant NVQ or equivalent certification in plant operation.
- CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card or equivalent for specific machinery.
- Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Experience with GPS-guided machinery.
