Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and physically capable Kitchen Cabinet Demolition Helper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn, work with their hands, and contribute to renovation projects from the ground up. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. Your primary role will involve the safe and efficient demolition of kitchen cabinets and other fixtures, preparing sites for new installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently demolish kitchen cabinets, countertops, and other specified fixtures using hand tools, including sledgehammers, pry bars, and drills.
  • Assist with the removal of debris from job sites, ensuring proper disposal and recycling where applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the demolition process.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment as directed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines meticulously.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support renovation projects.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Ability to perform strenuous tasks, including bending, lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation to various job sites within Edmonton.
  • Previous experience with hand tools (e.g., hammers, drills, saws) is a plus, but not required.
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
