Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sustainable Packaging Line Worker to join our eco-friendly factory team for the day shift in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sustainability and looking to start or grow their career in manufacturing. You will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring our sustainable packaging products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Full training will be provided, making this an accessible role for those with limited or no prior factory experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Load raw materials onto the production line and remove finished goods.
  • Package finished products accurately and prepare them for dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on sustainability and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy objects (up to 15kg).
  • Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not essential.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Forklift certification (training can be provided if needed).
