Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Virtual Civil Service Recruiter to join our dedicated team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on public sector staffing. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified candidates into various civil service positions across federal, state, and local government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for talent, a strong understanding of government hiring processes, and exceptional communication skills to build rapport with both candidates and clients. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for civil service roles, from requisition to offer.
- Source and attract candidates using databases, social media, professional networks, and job boards.
- Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications and fit.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing guidance and support throughout the hiring process.
- Collaborate closely with government clients to understand their staffing needs and provide strategic recruitment solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and hiring policies.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics and pipeline activity.
- Proactively identify and engage with passive candidates.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within the public sector or government contracting.
- Demonstrated ability to source and attract diverse talent for specialized roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of civil service hiring regulations and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with government contracting or GSA schedules.
- Certifications in recruitment (e.g., CIR, CDR).
- Familiarity with various security clearance requirements.
