Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in hospital administration? West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Radiology Department as an Entry-Level X-Ray / Radiology File Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with no prior experience to gain valuable skills within a busy and supportive healthcare environment. You will be responsible for the efficient management of patient files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in this crucial administrative support role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accurate filing, retrieval, and archiving of X-ray films, digital images, and patient records.
- Ensure all patient information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with GDPR guidelines.
- Assist Radiology staff and other departments with locating and delivering patient files promptly.
- Perform data entry tasks to update patient records and tracking systems.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the filing areas.
- Provide general administrative support to the Radiology Department as required.
- Adhere to all Trust policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Support the smooth flow of patient information within the department.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and other hospital personnel.
