Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Senior Video Editor to join our dynamic in-house marketing and communications team at Oracle’s Reading campus. In this role, you will be instrumental in producing compelling video content that tells our story, showcases our technology, and engages our global audience. You will lead video projects from conception through to final delivery, working closely with marketing managers, content strategists, and designers to ensure a cohesive and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong narrative sense, advanced technical skills, and a proven track record of delivering impactful video content in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the editing and post-production of high-quality video content for a variety of purposes, including marketing campaigns, product launches, customer testimonials, internal communications, and training modules.
- Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and stakeholders to understand project objectives and translate concepts into visually engaging narratives.
- Manage all aspects of the post-production workflow, including logging, ingesting, editing, motion graphics integration, color correction, and sound design.
- Ensure brand consistency, technical quality, and adherence to established guidelines across all video deliverables.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior video editors and production assistants, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in video production and post-production to continually enhance our creative capabilities.
- Oversee asset management, archiving, and version control for all video projects.
- Manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
- Extensive experience with color grading and correction techniques.
- Strong understanding of video codecs, formats, and compression techniques for various platforms.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and a strong sense of pacing and visual rhythm.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated portfolio of professional video editing work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender).
- Familiarity with project management tools and workflows.
- Experience working within a corporate or tech industry environment.
- Knowledge of photography and videography principles.
