Job Description
Join the Spec’s team in Houston as a Night Shift Box Breaker! This essential role ensures our store remains organized and ready for the next day’s business by efficiently processing incoming inventory, breaking down cardboard boxes, and maintaining clear aisles. If you’re a night owl who enjoys a dynamic, physically active role and takes pride in a well-maintained workspace, we want to hear from you. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training for motivated individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently break down and compact cardboard boxes from received shipments.
- Ensure all sales aisles, stockrooms, and receiving areas are clear of debris and empty boxes.
- Assist with basic stock rotation and merchandise placement as directed.
- Operate baling equipment safely and effectively (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for night shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar physical labor role (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Ability to work a consistent night shift schedule.
