Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart your career in the legal sector? DWF Law LLP is excited to offer an entry-level opportunity for a Notary Public Assistant. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with no prior legal experience, providing comprehensive training to help you develop essential skills in legal administration and notarization processes. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Notary Public, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of important legal documents for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Notary Public with administrative tasks, including document preparation and organisation.
  • Handle incoming client enquiries and schedule appointments for notarization services.
  • Maintain meticulous records of notarized documents and client information in compliance with legal standards.
  • Prepare and format various legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specific guidelines.
  • Support clients through the notarization process, explaining requirements and procedures clearly.
  • Manage office supplies related to notarization and ensure all necessary forms are readily available.
  • Learn and apply knowledge of notary laws and procedures under supervision.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection at all times.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A proactive and organised approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • No prior experience in the legal field is required; full training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.
  • An interest in the legal sector or administrative roles.
  • Experience in customer service is a plus.
