Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vacation Rental Cleaner / Turnaround Specialist to join our Chelmsford team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring our vacation properties are immaculately clean, perfectly presented, and ready for new guests, often within tight turnaround times. This isn’t just cleaning; it’s about preparing a welcoming home-away-from-home, ensuring every guest arrives to a pristine and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of vacation rental properties between guest stays, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
  • Execute rapid property turnarounds to meet tight guest check-in schedules, ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Inspect properties for maintenance issues, damages, or missing items and report findings promptly to the property management team.
  • Restock amenities and supplies (e.g., toiletries, linens, towels) according to company standards.
  • Ensure all linens are laundered, folded, and placed correctly.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional attention to detail to ensure properties meet stringent quality checks before guest arrival.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in hospitality or residential settings (6 months+).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience specifically with vacation rental or hotel housekeeping.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning products and equipment.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (for travel between properties).
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by booking schedules.
