Job Description
As a Subsea / Marine Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and analysis of various subsea equipment and marine structures. Your work will involve detailed engineering calculations, finite element analysis, and ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and clients to deliver robust and innovative solutions for complex subsea challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design and analysis of subsea components, systems, and marine structures using relevant engineering software and tools.
- Conduct structural, hydrodynamic, and fatigue analyses for subsea assets and offshore installations.
- Prepare technical specifications, design reports, procedures, and documentation for various project phases.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and solutions are integrated effectively.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, testing, and offshore installation phases.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in subsea or marine engineering, specifically with design and analysis of offshore structures or equipment.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV, ABS, AISC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with diverse teams and presenting technical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively working towards one.
- Experience with offshore operations, fabrication, or installation processes.
- Familiarity with renewable energy projects (e.g., offshore wind).
