Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Excavation Labourer to join our team in Port Macquarie. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. You will be integral to our excavation projects, assisting with various tasks to ensure sites run smoothly and efficiently. We offer top rates for the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, skill, and adherence to all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist excavator operators with digging, trenching, and backfilling activities.
- Perform manual excavation and shoveling as required.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on site.
- Adhere to all WHS policies and procedures.
- Spotting for heavy machinery and vehicles.
- Assist with site setup and pack down.
Required Skills
- Current Australian White Card (General Construction Induction).
- Proven experience as an Excavation Labourer or similar role (minimum 12 months).
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience operating small plant machinery (e.g., compaction equipment, jackhammers).
- Current Driver's License and reliable transport.
