Job Description

Join Viterra as a Silo Operator Assistant for regional seasonal work based in Port Adelaide, South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Australia’s vital grain industry during our peak season. We are seeking motivated individuals to support our grain handling operations, ensuring efficient and safe movement of commodities. Full training will be provided to successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of grain from trucks, trains, and vessels.
  • Monitor grain levels and quality within silos and storage facilities.
  • Operate basic machinery and equipment under supervision (e.g., conveyors, augers).
  • Conduct general site cleaning and maintenance to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the silo operations team to achieve daily targets.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and efficiently.
