Job Description
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Motel All-Rounder to join our dedicated team in Launceston, Tasmania. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and memorable stay. As an All-Rounder, your day will be diverse, encompassing a range of duties across reception, housekeeping, and general property maintenance. We value a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or further their career in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, handle reservations, and process payments.
- Respond to guest inquiries, provide local information, and assist with any requests or issues.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Handle laundry services for guest rooms and communal areas.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks around the property, reporting major issues to management.
- Prepare and set up breakfast service, ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and report needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for reservation systems and administrative tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Current driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of the local Launceston area and tourist attractions.
- First Aid certification.
