Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Public Defender’s Office Receptionist. This is a full-time, entry-level position perfect for someone eager to start their career in a supportive legal environment. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success. You will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient office atmosphere. Your organizational skills and positive attitude will be key to managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and supporting the legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors with professionalism and empathy.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, managing inquiries effectively.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for legal staff and clients.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
- Provide general information to the public regarding legal aid services.
- Operate office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
