Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Musical Instrument Sales Advisor to join our vibrant team in London, Ontario. The ideal candidate is a dedicated musician with demonstrable proficiency in playing guitar and/or keyboards, eager to share their passion and expertise with our customers. This role is commission-based, rewarding your sales success and commitment to providing exceptional service. You will be responsible for guiding customers through our extensive product range, demonstrating instruments, and helping them make informed purchasing decisions that meet their musical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their musical aspirations and product requirements.
- Demonstrate musical instruments, particularly guitars and keyboards, showcasing their features and benefits.
- Provide expert advice and product recommendations tailored to individual customer needs and skill levels.
- Process sales transactions, rentals, and special orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting showroom environment.
- Stay up-to-date with new products, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Participate in ongoing product training and sales development programs.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and store promotions as needed.
- Build lasting relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in playing guitar and/or keyboards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of musical instrument technology and terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Availability to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, ideally in a music store or related field.
- Familiarity with other musical instruments (e.g., drums, brass, woodwinds, orchestral).
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Formal music education or training.
