Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parliamentary Service Officer to join our dynamic team, supporting various government and public sector initiatives. This role, based out of our Newcastle office, offers the opportunity to contribute to significant projects that impact state-level governance and policy, with potential assignments in Canberra or other state-based parliamentary environments as required. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative, research, and liaison support, ensuring the efficient operation of projects related to parliamentary services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to senior advisors and project teams working on government assignments.
- Conduct thorough research on policy documents, legislative frameworks, and parliamentary procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise effectively with government officials, parliamentary staff, and other relevant bodies.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the coordination of meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement events.
- Monitor legislative developments and policy changes relevant to ongoing projects.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Support the preparation of presentations and communication materials.
Required Skills

- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field.
