Job Description

Peel Health Campus is seeking a dedicated Sterilization Assistant (Trainee) to join our professional team in Mandurah. This is an entry-level, full-time on-site position designed for individuals with no prior experience in sterilization. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and clean contaminated surgical instruments and medical devices according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and instrument washers.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, and proper function before packaging.
- Package and label sterilized items accurately for storage and distribution.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of sterile supplies.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support the medical team.
