Job Description
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and eager to embark on a career in luxury hospitality? Peppers Seaport Hotel is seeking a Concierge Offsider to join our dedicated team. This entry-level role is perfect for an enthusiastic individual with a desire to learn the intricacies of five-star hotel service. As a Concierge Offsider, you will work closely with our experienced concierge team, providing essential support to ensure our guests receive a seamless and memorable stay. Full training will be provided, allowing you to develop a comprehensive understanding of luxury hotel standards and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the senior Concierge team with guest arrivals and departures, including luggage handling and valet services.
- Provide warm and professional greetings to all guests, anticipating their needs where possible.
- Learn and effectively communicate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions/events.
- Maintain the cleanliness and pristine presentation of the lobby and concierge desk area.
- Run errands, deliver messages, and assist with various guest requests efficiently.
- Observe and learn the protocols for handling guest inquiries and resolving minor issues.
- Support the team in managing guest transportation and booking services.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and luxury service standards.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- A valid Australian driver's license (manual transmission preferred, but not essential).
- Previous customer service experience, even outside of hospitality, is a plus.
- Basic computer literacy for accessing hotel systems.
- Knowledge of Launceston and surrounding Tasmanian attractions.
