Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Vineyard Pruners to join our team for the winter pruning season. This is a temporary position, perfect for individuals looking for seasonal work, including backpackers. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. You will be responsible for carefully pruning vines to ensure optimal grape production and vine health for the next growing season. This physically demanding role offers a great opportunity to work outdoors and gain valuable experience in the viticulture industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform winter pruning of grapevines according to established techniques and standards
- Identify and remove old or diseased wood to promote vine health and yield
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the vineyard
- Operate hand tools safely and efficiently
- Work effectively as part of a team under supervision
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines
