Job Description
A fantastic opportunity for an adventurous individual to experience the unique lifestyle of the Australian outback as a Cattle Station Offsider. This role is perfect for those seeking a change of pace, hands-on experience in agriculture, and a chance to work amidst stunning natural landscapes. You’ll be an integral part of our station team, assisting with daily operations, animal husbandry, and property maintenance. Full training will be provided for all tasks, making this an ideal entry point into the pastoral industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the daily mustering, drafting, and movement of cattle.
- Feeding and watering livestock as required.
- Maintaining fences, water points, and general station infrastructure.
- Operating and maintaining station vehicles and machinery (quad bikes, tractors, etc. – training provided).
- Assisting with animal health treatments and record keeping.
- General property maintenance, including weed control and fire breaks.
- Participating in station events and maintaining a positive team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Valid Driver's License (manual preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quad bikes, motorcycles, or farm machinery.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience living in a remote environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
