Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Architecture Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This position is open to talented individuals requiring Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will be instrumental in translating architectural designs into detailed technical drawings and specifications, supporting our senior architects and designers throughout various project phases. You will work on diverse projects, contributing your expertise to create accurate and compliant architectural documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Collaborate closely with architects and project managers to understand design intent and translate it into technical documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant building codes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, design studies, and material boards.
- Review and verify drawings against project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and organize drawing files, ensuring proper version control and accessibility.
- Incorporate red-line comments and revisions efficiently and accurately.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for architectural drafting and modeling.
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting principles, standards, and conventions.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production.
- Solid knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and architectural terminology.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in architectural technology, drafting, or a related field.
- Experience with SketchUp or other 3D modeling software.
- Familiarity with local New Mexico building codes and zoning regulations.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality architectural drafting work.
- Experience working in a professional architectural firm.
